Photonics, Optics & VR (Ansys)

Optics simulation

The optical technologies offered by Ansys span from Ansys Lumerical at the microscale, to Ansys Zemax at the macroscale, all the way to human and sensor perception for systems with Ansys Speos.

From consumer electronics such as the smartphone in your pocket, to satellites orbiting the earth, to the datacenters that power our cloud-based applications, optics and photonics are transforming the world around us and are increasingly essential to our everyday lives. Modern optical devices require a combination of nano-scale to microscale elements and must be designed for use in complex systems.

It’s only through the combination of Ansys Lumerical, Zemax and Speos tools that designers can create optical and photonic devices and systems that meet today’s demanding requirements.

Ansys Lumerical

Ansys Lumerical, a complete photonics simulation software solution, enables the design of photonics components, circuits, and systems. Device and system-level tools work together seamlessly allowing designers to model interacting optical, electrical, and thermal effects. Flexible interoperability between products enables a variety of workflows that combine device multiphysics and photonic circuit simulation with third-party design automation and productivity tools. Python-based automation and flows for building and using compact models support the industry’s leading found.

Ansys Speos

Ansys Speos is a powerful, proven optical simulation software that helps optical engineers design new features, optimize material selections and other characteristics, measure results, test product and safety and comply with strict industry regulations. For example, optical simulations via Speos can help ensure that drivers can see and read the information on a car’s control panel in any lighting condition; or ensure that the sensor on an autonomous drone is properly interpreting light phenomena such as glare.

Ansys Speos offers a comprehensive user interface which is powerful for experts and intuitive for non-experts. Using a unique Human vision algorithm Ansys Speos can predict the effect of the light on any materials and any design. As well, integrated with Ansys Multiphysics, Ansys Speos can predict the optical performance under mechanical or thermal stress such as a headlamp in which thermoplastic reflector is deformed impacting the optical output.

Ansys VREXPERIENCE

Ansys VRXPERIENCE provides a set of simulation tools for automotive users in the fields of autonomous driving, virtual reality, human-machine interface, and acoustic simulation. VRXPERIENCE consists of two main solutions. The first solution allows you to visualize illumination systems in a VR space and evaluate their appearance and user experience. The second solution works as a driving simulator to evaluate the behavior of headlamps and sensors for automatic driving in a virtual environment.

In addition, Ansys Sound enables you to listen to, analyze and design sound sources based on real recordings or acoustic simulations.

Zemax (an Ansys Company)

Zemax is the industry standard optical system design software, combining sequential lens design, analysis, optimization, tolerancing, physical optics, nonsequential optical system design, and polarization in a single, easy-to-use package. Ansys Zemax offers a wide range of solutions that can help you realize your optical system from a conceptual stage to a manufacturable design.

CYBERNET SYSTEMS MALAYSIA SDN.BHD. distributes and supports Ansys Optics products in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and other countries of the ASEAN region.
