When using CAE in the field of product design, the computational cost is smaller than that of nonlinear analysis, and there are many opportunities to model using linear analysis with good convergence stability. So why do we need nonlinear analysis? Not only is it possible to obtain more accurate results than linear analysis, but some events to be evaluated can be solved only by nonlinear analysis.
This paper introduces the differences between linear analysis and non-linear analysis and how to use them, with examples.
